Laurent Buchmann

Born on December 29, 1995, in Zurich, Switzerland, and currently based in Monaco, I come from a family with international roots and a longstanding connection to private investment and wealth preservation.

My father, a second-generation investor, introduced me to an international network of private investors and entrepreneurs. Through his experience and professional relationships, I gained an early appreciation for the importance of discretion, trust, and long-term thinking in the investment world. My grandfather’s legacy has also played an important role in shaping my ambition to continue the family’s investment tradition while developing my own path.

On my mother’s side, my family has roots in Qatar and a connection to the Al Thani family. Although my parents have been separated for approximately 25 years, both sides of my family form part of my personal background and heritage, each contributing to my perspective on life, family, and the future.

Throughout previous generations, my family’s investment activities were conducted privately by individual investors. Investment decisions, portfolio details, and financial references were not made publicly available, reflecting a preference for discretion and confidentiality. I intend to maintain this approach by respecting the privacy of investors and keeping sensitive financial information confidential.

Today, I work with international private investors and family offices, building relationships with entrepreneurs and exploring investment opportunities across technology, digital assets, and emerging markets. My focus is on identifying promising businesses, developing trusted professional relationships, and evaluating opportunities with long-term potential.

I believe that successful investing requires more than financial resources. It requires sound judgment, patience, strategic thinking, an understanding of risk, and the ability to recognise opportunities that can create lasting value. I place particular importance on direct relationships with founders, understanding their vision, and assessing the potential of their businesses before considering an opportunity further.

Inspired by the experience and principles of previous generations, my ambition is to continue building on my family’s legacy while developing my own investment activities. I want to expand my international network, deepen my understanding of global markets, and participate in opportunities that align with my long-term vision.

For me, success is not measured solely by financial results. It is also about creating value, building meaningful partnerships, preserving what previous generations have established, and developing something of my own that can endure into the future.

My objective is to combine the lessons of the past with the opportunities of tomorrow, continuing a family tradition of private investment while shaping my own identity and future in the international investment landscape..
